Altbier made in collaboration w/ our friends at Tripping Animals Brewing
A collab with our friends at Tripping Animals Brewing definitely can’t be the expected. So we made an altbier. Altbier or “old beer” hails from Düsseldorf in the early 1800s, where brewers decided to bring back a classic method using top-fermenting yeast and cold conditioning, rather than the more widely popular and “newer” bottom-fermenting practice, to set their beer apart from the crowd. The result? A singularly smooth and malty, rounded bitter pint with proper old school cool drinkability. HIP HISTORIAN recalls the aroma of flaky croissant and the clatter of coffee cups, toasted biscuit fireside, and the flutter of leather-bound book pages.
